The Selection Committee is revealing the top 16 on CBS today at 12:30. This is my best guest for how the top 16 will look:

Region 1:

1. Gonzaga
2. West Virginia
3. Iowa
4. Texas Tech

Region 2:

1. Baylor
2. Illinois
3. Tennessee
4. Wisconsin

Region 3:

1. Michigan
2. Alabama
3. Houston
4. Oklahoma

Region 4:

1. Ohio State
2. Villanova
3. Missouri
4. Virginia

There were a couple changes to the true S Curve. Alabama moved up a slot because Illinois can't be on the 2 line in the same region as Michigan being the #1. Tennessee got moved up a slot since they can't be the #3 seed in the same region as Alabama. Oklahoma got moved up one slot to avoid a potential Michigan/Wisconsin S16 matchup. It'll be interesting to see the committee try to navigate those B1G teams in the top 10.

The Quadrant System is as follows:

Quadrant 1 (Q1): Home (1-30)Neutral (1-50)Away (1-75)
Quadrant 2 (Q2): Home (31-75)Neutral (51-100)Away (76-135)
Quadrant 3 (Q3): Home (76-160)Neutral (101-200)Away (136-240)
Quadrant 4 (Q4): Home (161-357)Neutral (201-357)Away (241-357)

I have the same top 7, but Illinois can only be 7th at best in terms of bracketing because of procedures. I'm really torn on UVA and Houston. They have good metrics but haven't really accomplished much in terms of great wins. I think that could knock them down some. But I can see UVA being on the 3 line. Was really torn there.

Yep. Obviously they'd need to move teams based on brackets but that's my legit top 16 in order . Oklahoma would be 17 for me

Interesting. Oklahoma is way too high imo. I could maybe see them as 15 or 16 but no higher. Other than that there's not a lot to complain about

I didn't even know they were doing this.

I'm OK with it. I think the B1G is overrated. Their metrics are really good but from a smaller sample size, but we never played the Gavitt games. And Mich hasn't played in forever. I certainly don't think they have 3 of the best 5 teams in the country.

ACC with only one team is almost beyond fathom...

Swap Iowa and Texas.

ACC is horrible right now

its gonna make Forbes' complete takeover of the conference relatively easy

They're bad for the ACC but not as bad as the metrics say.

Louisville could beat a bunch of those teams.

well when you put it that way

the ACC this year is a typical year for the Pac-12

I've only seen Louisville twice but they got boat raced both times lol. I must be bad luck

I'm not surprised about that. The conference just isn't very good this year. Fsu was the only other team in consideration IMO.

I think that is a phenomenal region for Nova.

I think Mizzou would probably be a little more ideal than TT. But other than that about the best you could ask for

I was thinking the same thing.

That said, nobody scares me. Not even Baylor and Gonzaga.

Either we make our shots or we brick em and go home. Same old story...

The problem with the ACC is they can lose to just about anybody, but they could also beat just about anybody. Florida State, Virginia, and Louisville have the better teams right now. But a bunch of upstarts could get it going at the right time and do some damage in the tournament. I wonder how good Miami would have been without all their injuries. Or NC State with their best player.
