NCAA trying to stop multiple transfers

because "reasons" I assume?

I guess you could call it the JT Daniel’s rule

Can't be the JT Daniels rule ... he got a waiver for USC > UGA, but was a grad transfer from UGA > WVU. Will be grad transfer from WVU > Rice. That's only for undergrads.

It’s about time, hopefully this sticks

I'm not saying you are wrong and I'm leaning towards you being correct but it doesn't specifically state that graduates can still transfer without restriction in fact it says "All other guidelines will no longer be used for waiver request" which may mean all previous rules are void.

Pfffftttt. NCAA can’t do anything that has to do with FBS level football and haven’t for a long time. They need to stick with everything else.

I’m for them sticking their nose into this.

If my position coach, coordinator or HC left.. i would use that it caused me to have a mental health issue..

Right now there's a one time transfer rule..but like @WhosYourDawggy says.. if they graduate, they can move on as well. What has people in a spin right now is that players are still using the Covid year/transfer still

Someone will try to sue the NCAA over this and they will quickly change their position
it's dumb.. students can transfer as many times as they want, right?

The first paragraph says it is specifically for "undergraduate" student athletes.

Just get rid of the NCAA.

Let’s get wild!

I know there are plenty of strong opinions on number of transfers, but to me it is good. Good players being able to move makes CFB stronger IMO. It reduces the chances of a school being 3 deep with great players at every position and instead spreads that talent across more teams. In my opinion it will eventually lead to the end of one or two schools being the best every year.

They get one free transfer.

What this is trying to stop are:
1. the guys that are hoping every year and let's be honest they aren't your top-tier guys but it hurts teams having the players to field a team and practice.
2. it is an attempt to limit kids putting themselves on the market every year to the highest bidder and that is already starting to happen.
3. coaches are having a hard time disciplining players because they get mad, and talk to all their buddies and you have 5 guys in the portal. This helps the coaches a little bit and they don't have to kiss ass as hard.

As long as you get the one free transfer what you are scared of will not happen. The Justin Fields and Joe Burrows of the world will find where they need to go and the JT Daniels will have to make better choices.

What do you think I'm scared of? I want kids being able to transfer every year if they want. I'd make it one transfer per season, though. With that comes NIL contracts with buyout clauses though, which just pushes this all to giving them actual contracts. I'm coming around to that as well. At least then it is out in the open, everyone knows what others are doing/getting, and schools and players both are accountable.
