ND: 26
PSU: 16

PSU 20
ND 14

I'm going back and forth on this one.

PSU is rolling and can outscore ND. Only 90 passings yards by ND is scary. Both have good defense; ND has the advantage I would think. ND beat Georgia which was a tougher matchup than SMU and Boise St.

But I don't like ND having two less days of prep and rest.

Right now I'm taking PSU 24 ND 13 (subject to change)

ND 31. PSU 24

Pulling for PSU but.....the Pope is on the CFB Playoff committee

A little surprised by how many folks have Penn State winning when many know Franklin is going to "Franklin". However, I am back and forth on this one too.

20-13 PSU… assumes Abdul Carter is healthy. Georgia shut down the ND offense, I think PSU does the same. Love looks like he his playing through injury. ND receivers are Jags. Leonard is a game manager. PSU has just enough offense to sneak out with a win in a defensive battle

If coaching was different, I would predict a 6+ differential. But, because Franklin -

PSU - 21
ND - 19

Well on the other side, you have a guy who lost to:
2024: Northern Illinois
2023: 4-loss Clemson, 4-loss Louisville (also choked at home to OSU in the final seconds)
2022: Marshall at home, at 9-loss Stanford

The pressure is on both coaches IMO. Franklin is chasing the elusive big win after all this time, but he hasn't had near the bed-shittings Freeman has had the past few years

I think this is going to be an incredible game that could go either way. Regardless I’ll definitely be rooting for the winner of it to take home the hardware in the championship.

I’ll go:

Penn State 21
Notre Dame 20

Hard one to handicap. I mean, both PSU and the Catholic Church have had their share of child molestation scandals.

Should be a sphincter-tight matchup all the way.

I'm going with State to pull it out.

I'm going with ND to stick it in.

Both sides have key players banged up (Carter for PSU, Love for ND). Both teams have elite defenses. Neither team has a WR weapon worth a damn, but PSU does have overall better offensive weapons IMO. That said, ND's offense has enough to score 17, and Allar has sputtered against high end defenses this year.

ND - 23
PSU - 16
