ND / PSU scores & discussion

The pressure is on both coaches IMO. Franklin is chasing the elusive big win after all this time, but he hasn't had near the bed-shittings Freeman has had the past few years
Strongly disagree.

2024: Team only scored six points offensively in home L to OHST (like the 10th straight L or some shit).

2022: Team led 17-16 early 3Q @ UM, got outscored 25-0 in last ~28 mins to lose 41-17; Team led 21-16 mid 4Q vs OHST, got outscored 28-3 in under 7 mins, loses by 2 TDs.

2021: Team blew a 10-0 lead & lost at home to 5-7 Illinois; Team blew a 2 TD-lead & lost @ Iowa.

2018: Team blew 12pt lead in home L to OHST; Home loss to MSU despite leading most of the game.

I'm not sure how any of those losses compare to losing to a bad NIU team at home, losing to a not good Marshall team at home, or losing at 3-9 Stanford. If you want to talk about offense vs. Ohio State, ND didn't do much better their last 2 games than PSU did in their last 2.

- Unless Notre Dame can get points on turnovers or special teams, I don't think they can score enough to win.

- I assume PSU's D will be as good, if not better, as UGA's.

- Here is what ND did against UGA:

3 plays, 9 yards, PUNT
5 plays, 20 yards, PUNT
8 plays, 49 yards, FG
4 plays, 20 yards, PUNT
10 plays, 32 yards, FG
1 play, 13 yards, TD

3 plays, 2 yards, PUNT
8 plays, 25 yards, TO DOWNS
8 plays, 29 yards, FG
12 plays, 41 yards, PUNT
2 plays, 2 yards, GAME

- ND beat UGA by great STs, forcing two TOs, edge players overwhelming our OTs, a time-consuming run game, and solid D when needed.

- If PSU's OL protects the QB, and PSU has a decent running game, I think they win.

- If PSU plays clean, they win something like 24-17, 28-14, something like that.

A little surprised by how many folks have Penn State winning when many know Franklin is going to "Franklin". However, I am back and forth on this one too.
Don't worry. If they win this one there's no doubt he Franklin's in the most spectacular way in the title game no matter which other team is there.

Going back over this, it's 9 votes for Penn St., including one that has Penn St. to pull it out.
7 votes for ND, including one that has screw Penn. St. and one that has ND to stick it in.

However, the most conclusive is the o/u.
12 has the under and 2 has the over.
Well, imma gonna jinx all the under bettors and put some vCash on the under.

I think we're #1 in the country in takeaways. So odds are we will get at least 1 turnover. Once we had the big lead against UGA, we went stall ball early.

I think if our offense needs to be better it can be. I'd love it if Love could be 100% but I doubt they'll be the case. He's such an explosive RB.

Pennsylvania State 24
Notre Dame 17

I fucked up. Last nite, went to the bookie to bet the under. Wasn't paying att. and placed a 1000 vCash on the over. Just now saw the fuck-up, so I placed a 2000 vCash on the under. Oh well.

I don't know what to anticipate from this one. Low-scoring. Two QB's that aren't great at throwing and two legit top defenses. Both teams have great running attacks with one-two punches. Allar did seem to struggle against the best defenses. He went off against Oregon (not a top defense). If Carter is not playing I think that is a slight advantage for ND, he is a game wrecker but even if he plays I don't anticipate him to be anything close to 100%.

I have been thinking Penn St would win for over a week now but I will lean Notre Dame.

24-21 ND

When Texas plays ND in the Natty, Texas will be the higher seed and elect to wear the whites.
Will ND wear the green tops? #fashion

You also have another 1000 on the under. 3000 total
I wanted a 1000 on the under but screwed up. Made a wager of 2000, first 1000 to zero out the over bet and get the 1000 I wanted on the under. Then later, I added another 1000 to the under.
So now, I'm 2000 net on the under

I heard it from a good source that Oregon would smash either of these teams, if they didn't shit themselves in the Rose Bowl of course.
