GAME Nebraska @ #3 Oklahoma | 11:00am | FOX

Yeah... Joel Klatt is amiss on a couple things.

He said Nebraska's sellout streak extends back to the early 1970's when it dates back to 1962.

He's also anointing a coordinator to some great head coach level after two G5 wins in Norman.
"Venables is a turning Oklahoma around"

Klatt would have better credibility if he'd pointed out that Washington also beat Kent St handily 45-20, and that North Texas beat UTEP handily 31-13.

Is Washington getting things turned around after their (4-8) finish last season?
Is North Texas getting things turned around after their (6-7) finish last season?

Just saying that Klatt is hitting on all the simpleton talking points.

i.e. "Nebraska assistant coaches and their wives head's aren't in it because they don't know where they'll be coaching next season."

It was assistant coaches that went to Trev complaining about the direction of the program under Frost.
There was a lack of heart from players and coaches alike from Frost's laissez faire attitude. They were getting beat by little things. A lack of detail.
Those assistant coaches will have jobs at Nebraska if they can help Mickey get things turned around. They know that and you can be sure that's where their heads are at.

If this were Frost getting fired after the Iowa game in late November, then Klatt would have a legit point.
But it's not. We're only in game 4 and every Nebraska coach (not named Frost) is auditioning as if they're new hires.
Nebraska is a dangerous animal for the next few weeks.

Lose to Oklahoma, Indiana, and Rutgers in the next few weeks will likely suck any new air out of the program though.

I'd also add that they are coaching for their next job, whether that be at Nebraska or someplace else. I would think that alone would be a motivator to put forth their best effort.

We are stopped in Emporia Kansas for lunch. The Sooner caravan of cars on I35 has been impressive!

I highly doubt that Mickey and the assistant coaches have spent much time at home these last 6 days.

You're taking the long way then. Even to Omaha

It's faster going Hwy 81 straight north out of Wichita to York, NE then east on I-80.

Take that route on your way back and stop into Cozy Inn in Salina, KS for some kick ass burgers.

Even bigger Nebraska has absolutely nothing to lose. They could lose by 20 and a dozen trick plays and nobody would care
