GAME Nebraska @ #3 Oklahoma | 11:00am | FOX

Hell no. That was a media created rival to draw interest. I've never seen CU as a "rival".

Not to mention that game went away when CU joined the PAC and NU went to the Big 10. 2010 was the last season for both of them.

From the time I began interest in CFB to the time NU/CU left the Big 12, Nebraska was 35-7-1 against them. Hardly a rival.
gotcha just strange that you cheered for ou when not playing Nebraska. As a UT fan, never cheered for aggy/ou/ark growing up..ever. Like I really enjoyed watching ou get demolished in the CFP, or watching Lincoln turtle it up with Baker vs UGA in the CFP.. I'm pretty sure they loved seeing UT lose to MD twice and KU on the road lol

NU/OU was never a hate filled rivalry. It was always a rivalry of respect.

Even Tom Osborne is on record saying that "Playing OU annually made Nebraska a better team".

Barry Switzer has always been welcomed in Nebraska long after he left OU.

The winner of NU/OU played for the NC many times.

If OU won a particular year, us Nebraskan's rooted for them to win the Natty.

It's just the way it was.

I would probably stay away from this game.
If it looks like Nebraska is completely overmatched, I would look for Lincoln Riley to slow the game down and not score too much. No way he wants to embarrass Nebraska.

If it's a dog fight, then 29.5 is way too much anyway.

You're the expert though. You tell us what to do on 29.5 points.

I never hated OU.

And it's all about fans anyway. Oklahoma fans have generally always been cool. In my personal experience....

Colorado
Michigan
Texas

fans have been the worst. Honestly, when Nebraska joined the B1G I thought Ohio St fans would be the worst.... Michigan surprised me be how douchey they are. I've actually met some really cool Ohio St fans over the years.

Iowa fans are hit and miss, but have generally been ok.

Miami fans are somewhat bad too.

If Riley's got that attitude then OU has learned absolutely nothing about winning a national championship other than looking good in those uniforms, go score a bunch of points and then get bounced in the first round of the playoff. The fans are tired of that BS. We want to see a gawddamn coach who scores a lot and yells at his defense when it allows points. Barry Switzer respected Nebraska tremendously but if he was ranked #2 in the country and trying to atone for repeated losses in big games, he'd keep the petal to the metal until the last possession and then he'd call 3 dive plays to run out the clock. He'd hang half a hundred on Nebraska and never look back if he could do it. Riley's smart but his play calling was timid when he first took over as the head coach. Let's see if he's toughened up any and has what it takes to get us back to the top of the mountain.

He hasn't at all.
How many times has he taken his foot off the gas, let his players fall asleep, then let the other team back in it.
Too many to count.

I think he may be relying on analytics and metrics too much...that or maintaining a balance when none is needed.

A great deal of it has to be penned on timely penalties on our defense extending opponents drives.

Aw shit. You're probably dead right. :tsk:

I'll never truly believe in this guy until he can make me forget not going for it on 4th down in the playoff (then relying on a college kicker who failed) when he had THREE first team All-Americans on offense including the Heisman Trophy winner. Pure puss move.

It boggles the mind, but the mistakes that Riley made early, seem to be the one's he's still making today.

Taking the game out of the hands of your Heisman Winning QB is pure 'shit for brains', Texas Tech level bullshit.
