Nebraska: By the numbers. (Hilarious read)

Hey everybody!

I'm just chimin' in to support the thread - since a couple brasky' fans joined the chorus to torment Gators in the last game thread when we shit the bed.
I even asked them, "why are you laughing at the Gators when Nebraska is SO fucking bad?" ?? They said their suckage was no excuse for ours. But, I don't get it.

So, lol @ nebraska.

Nebraska's overall record since 2015.

2015: 6-7
2016: 9-4 (Last great season in Lincoln)
2017: 4-8
2018: 4-8
2019: 5-7
2020: 3-5 (COVID season excuse)
2021: 3-6 (Current season)

Just when you think things can't get any worse at Nebraska after 6 years of irrelevance, you then see their current recruiting class.

Yes that is last place in the B1G and 77th ranked nationally. At this point the future and recent past of Maryland and Rutgers football may be brighter than Nebraska.

That's goddamn depressing.

If whoregon made the playoffs they would get boat raced. It wouldn't surprise me that they lose 1 more.

LOL @ Tribute Threads to likely (3-9) teams.

Some serious mental disorder insecurities going on regarding your own teams.

get em OD...ask them about Scott Frost and watch em all defend him till the end.

Derp

Frost is not on the Hot Seat.

Of the 85 players on scholarship going into this season, 52 of them (61%) are classified as Freshmen or Redshirt Freshman.

Frost is safe until the end of 2023 at the earliest.

Again.... Frost is NOT on the Hot Seat with 61% of his scholly roster being true Freshmen and Redshirt Freshmen.
Not one senior on this team was recruited out of high school by Frost. Any seniors (which are few) are either Riley holdovers or are C.C. transfers with just one season in Lincoln.
Any juniors (another small percentage) are either 1st year C.C. transfers or Frosts 1st recruiting class that he had less than 2 months to assemble. The rest were recruited by Riley, but signed their LOI's under Frost.
Also.....Nebraska is NOT going to dish out the $25 million it would take to fire him. They just finished paying off Pelini and Riley contracts in the last couple years. They're not going down that road again any time soon.
Also.... (As @Wild Turkey alluded), who would Nebraska get to come to Lincoln knowing they'll be starting from scratch (again) and there will be unreasonable expectations for immediate success? Nobody that wouldn't just be looking for a retirement check.

Frost is safe until Dec 2023 at the earliest.

Agreed. But it is true that this is a very young team in reference to Frost. He's only had 2.5 (at best) recruiting classes even hit the practice field before last Friday.

Recruiting Classes (actual)
2021: Now true Freshmen. First day of practice last Friday.
2020: Now Redshirt Freshmen or true Sophomores
2019: Now Redshirt Sophomores or true Juniors
2018: Over 50% were 2017 Riley commits that signed LOI's under Frost.

= 2.5 Classes with any experience whatsoever.

Again.....Frost is NOT on the Hot Seat this season or next unless he were to pull something unethical in that time that is Bobby Petrino(esque).

I highly doubt that. Let's get to year 6 before we start getting REAL edgy.

The vast majority of Nebraska fans know that squats weren't even a requirement in weight training under Riley. You're not gonna have much success in the the Big 10 trenches doing that. Frost took over a terrible locker room culture.
Said fans are just looking for improvement in production (stats) on O, D, Special teams, and to cut the stupid penalties that kill momentum. Not necessarily record.
All things considered, Frost would survive another 5-7 season.

Derp.

Nebraska fans are 'content' with giving him time. At least the level headed ones are.
Who told you that?

That hasn't been said since his 1st year.

Nice try doucher.

My reply was in regard to this post from just yesterday.

Scott Frost just needs a few more years. At least that's what I'm told.

Who told you that?

That hasn't been said since his 1st year.

I've heard nobody say "a few more years" since his first or second year. It hasn't been said going into this season.

Not one of those posts has me saying "a few more years". My comments were that he would likely get to 2022 and be let go after that season if he didn't show improvement.

I also stated (per your example) that Nebraska fans were looking for improvement specifically cutting down on stupid penalties, special teams, etc. and that he'd survive another (5-7) season. He's done none of those.

Nowhere going into this season did I say he "Needs a few more years". I figured he'd get this one if he went 5-7 and next season to see if he could better that. It doesn't look like he'll make the 5-7.

Whether he even gets fired remains to be seen.

Your trolling is weak sauce.
