The event was in Lancaster County, but still I believe it is a state law. hmmmmmmm
This, and unfortunately you’re pulling a jury from Lincoln where a small but nonzero part of our fan base think it was some conspiracy to keep him from getting a job at NU…@Red_Alert yeah most states like TX can continue with charges even with the victim refusing to cooperate or recanting their testimony/statement..However, it's a huge waste of money to attempt to go to trial in these cases. DA can show photos or statements when it happened but once it gets in front of the jury, it's shaky at best with the alleged victim sitting behind the defendant visibly upset. DA want to keep their conviction rate percentage as high as possible, not take a huge risk on incidents like this.
This is, literally, the first time that I have heard anything like that. This, and unfortunately you’re pulling a jury from Lincoln where a small but nonzero part of our fan base think it was some conspiracy to keep him from getting a job at NU…
