If you don’t know Coca-Cola has changed the formula for Coke Zero Sugar (formerly just called Coke Zero as they can’t seem to leave this beverage alone). The reason is they are trying to make it taste more like real Coke.

I’m a big Coke Zero guy so I wasn’t fired up about the change but there was nothing to do but wait and see. Well the wait is over as the new formula is now in the stores and I bought a case.

Wife - “Pretty good it does taste more like regular Coke“
Me - “I don’t notice a massive difference so I’m relieved”

I’ve seen multiple negative reviews online but honestly I think these people are being nit picky and not being truly objective. This definitely isn’t another “New Coke” debacle.

Overall I’m just relieved because I start my day with a Coke Zero and didn‘t want that to change.

I quit drinking soda regularly years ago, and what latent habit I had went fully into Coke Zero. From what I understand, the product still isn't as high selling as Diet Coke, but has been substantially subsuming that line, as well as is the top "zero" cola on the market. Why they would mess with the formulation is beyond me. Though this is the same company that monkeyed with its flagship product back in the 1980s for no good reason.
