Deion is part of the problem. Remember when he said that Shadeur and Travis weren’t going to just any team and that some teams shouldn’t bother drafting them? NFL GMs remember.
 
It wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world if Sanders and his clown show claim they are too good for the NFL now and "take his talents elsewhere"

And when it’s time to draft a qb that is going to be a backup for a few years you ain’t taking one where the dad is going to go on a media tour every time your starter has a bad game

The problem with Shedur is that no coach, owner, or organization wants to deal with the baggage he will bring. He won't start, and Deion and Shedur will both be arguing he should be QB#1 and work from behind the scenes to make that happen, tearing down the starter as best they can. I can already see Deion calling the coaches and owners every day lobbying for his kid, that is if he isn't doing it in person. It will cause problems within the team and tear it apart, all due to two massive egos.

Kiper might be right the talking heads on ESPN may be right. Maybe he is as good as he thinks he is (I say no). But do you want the baggage that comes along with him?

How big of a douchebag did he come across in those interviews? Nobody wanted to believe that story. They thought it was a psy-op to keep him on the board so Pittsburgh could have him at 21.

The media circus they will bring is not worth it for a backup QB
 
The thing is marquee qbs rarely slide past the second round. Him dropping out of the third is really unprecedented but the media is really in denial about why that is.
