Something is wrong in the NFL when Watson gets to act like a bitch, not play on the field and still get paid.
 
I'm floored a NFL team is gonna take a chance on him. I get a team like Carolina is desperate for a decent QB but there's a possibility you might end up paying a guy who never takes the field and you're guaranteed bad press, controversy and distractions.
 
The commish should use his exempt list and end any possibility of Watson playing this season. That would give time for the criminal investigation to be completed and an NFL investigation to be done as well. He should do it right now too and minimize the headlines this guy is getting directly concerning his play in the NFL.

- I spoke too soon. Looking at the Panthers situation at QB, it might be worth the gamble for them if he plays right away. Their options are bleak. (Who's the #1 free agent QB? :D )

They are in last, so they could just tank for a draft pick but I'm not convinced there's anyone in this coming draft class that would solve their immediate problem. If the NFL commish doesn't put him on the no fly list then they almost certainly are gonna get him.
 
So now the rumor mill says Watson won't be pursued by the Panthers, so we seem to be left with him remaining with the Texans or going to Miami. The rumor mill also says Matt Rhule has said he'd be open to going back to CFB and right now he may could get the HC spot at USC, LSU or Penn State. I don't see that happening unless he's fired considering he's making something like $8.5 million per season in the NFL and none of those programs are likely to match that.
 
I have thought all along that the Texans were going to end up getting less than they wanted and only something like a 3rd rounder for Watson. now they have fucked around so long I bet they end up just cutting him.

That team needs to be contracted. Send em to St Louis as payoff of the billion dollar settlement.

It's similar to the Ben Simmons deal imo.

I'm not saying bend over the minute a guy wants to walk but I am saying going full blown crazy on your trade demands of a player publicly asking to leave isn't a good route to take
