Are there rules against paying for marching band members? What is the governing body, feels like something that could have always been done even outside of NIL.

Kwik Trip, get it right! Can't believe you fucked that up. That's like a Wisconsinite misspelling "Lambeau".
Yeah, brain fart. Been gone so long, I don't even know if the chain existed before relocation.

Quick Trip, or QT, are here in Texas. Not sure about Kwik Trip.

Damn good question. I think the news was more about Kwik Trip doing their first NIL signing.

A member of Wisconsin's marching band signed an NIL deal with Quik Trip, a convenience store chain.Let the recruiting wars begin.

I'd rather be wrong in Wisconsin. :headbanger:
Oh hell no. We've got plenty of transplants here....from everywhere. In fact, we imported those QT stores from those squats north of the Red River.

im not sure this is news seems like they could have always made money on themselves unless there is some sort of band regulating body

I really don't know. I know a lot of the players are on scholarship. Maybe there was language in there.

However, as I mentioned earlier, the news is Kwik Trip diving into NIL for amateur sports. They have a history of doing pro sports.

well they still havent. band isnt a sport

Kwik Trip is a defining characteristic of present Wisconsin culture; not just a gas station/mini mart. ...It's a big deal around here.
That makes me sad.

No, but the band doesn't play for money, either. Amateur musicians akin to amateur athletes? Hell, I don't know. Imagine if band members unionized and the universities had to pay union scale. Do you think the UW will let him wear their logo without compensation?

I report, you decide.

In that case they would just do away with the band. Double win because then that's more seats to sell. I enjoy the band, but if they are going to ask for a cut of the gate, see ya.
