GAME North Carolina at Virginia Tech - 6pm ET on ESPN

NC looked like the better team, but it was clear VT was far more hungry tonight.
gentlemen, this brings me to my next point. Don’t smoke crack
Yeah I must have been watching a different game. UNC didn't get to the red zone until 3rd quarter. Howell throws three picks. That's the game I saw.

Okay Fuente. Had a good game tonight and well deserved win. Don't F it up and drop a stupid game later on.

They were coaching not to lose and it almost cost them. Should have kept pressure up all game and not just the first half. But at least its a good sign that the defense looks to be good again.

The fuck were you watching? Field hockey?
Watched a team with more talent get beat by a more motivated team. Happens all the time, especially in college football. Wasn't the first time, and won't be the last

May even happen to Bama tonight.

No one is questioning that UNC may have had more talent on paper, but are questioning you saying that UNC looked like the better team last night. What you're saying is that VT just got lucky, not completely dominate the majority of the game.

This guarantees 3 top 15 teams go down in week 1.

My top 25 vote of Virginia Tech at #16 doesn't look so dumb now.

If I would have ranked VT in my top 25, they would have lost by 60 and Howell would have the Heisman all but wrapped up. Fuente would be out… oh wait that last one is a good thing.

Not at all - VT was better prepared and motivated, despite the gap in talent.

Again ... the very same thing could happen today, if a talent-loaded Bama loses to Miami.

... though I certainly hope not.

The Virginia tech win over North Carolina in football was their 1st top 10 win since 2009.

Is this true?

I thin

I think they beat #9 Miami 31-7 in 2009. They beat Ohio State in 2014, but not sure what the Buckeyes were ranked.

They didn't look all that more talented to me. Maybe there's some young talent based on recruiting rankings that needs some experience but what position group of there's looked more talented to you based on that single game? RB maybe?

So you "misspoke" and agree that even though UNC may have had better talent on paper, it was actually VT that LOOKED like the best team last night, correct?
