Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald given a PERMANENT vacation for hazing

current player says former player is lying and said that he will do anything to see Fitz rot in jail.

wtf

If it's just one former player and you have the bulk of the team sticking up for Fitz I don't see how they can touch him unless irrefutable proof comes out. Now if more former players start coming out to lend their voice then we could have something.

There are two former players corroborating each other.

I'm not convinced the stuff happened, but if I were a player involved (or even was aware of it and stayed silent), I'd deny it happened too.

There's supposedly a photo of a locker room whiteboard sent to ESPN detailing the hazing, but I've yet to see it.

This shit is about to get ugly. Reports are coming out that black players and coaches were forced to cut their hair a certain way and a racist culture within the program. If that turns out to be true, heads are gonna roll.

I mean, the Yankees can pick a black player up off waivers, make him cut his dreads and then release him a week later and they’ve been getting away with it for decades, so they might be fine

It would appear he should have been fired for what was going on. That said, this is a perfect out for a school that was going to have a hard time getting rid of a legendary player.

Yea the "racist culture" stuff was the death blow. If it was just hazing he probably wouldn't had got canned

Yea I was thinking the same thing. Fitzgerald had a good run for Northwestern but he's gone stale. 3 of the last 4 years have been a total mess. The year that wasnt was the whacky COVID year that you can pretty much write off for a lot of reasons.

Well deserved to be fired.

When's Kafka getting hired?

Probably time regardless of this, Pat Fitzgerald's cranky meathead personality isn't as endearing when you go 0-11 in domestic games.
