This century-later remake of the classic 1922 vampire film will be released on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2024. It is directed by Robert Eggers and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bill Skarsgard, Willem Dafoe, Nicholas Hoult, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, and Lily-Rose Depp. Teaser trailer:

 
Perfect Christmas Day movie to take the family to.
 
Didn't they basically do this already with Shadow of the Vampire like 20 years ago? That one at least had a twist to it.

that was about the making of the film, if i recall. that said, willem gonna be in this one as well. While I haven't watched the trailer, I imagine this is a remake of the original silent film, while shadow of the vampire was more a movie about making shadow of the vampire.
 
Hesitant on this because The Northman was a bit of a disappointment.

Pretty disappointed in it. Loved the cinematography and the creative twist on the vampire but the billing of a great horror movie was quite exaggerated IMO.
