Official CFP Matchups

So… SEC championship rematch title game then…

Harbaugh has got to throw the ball. Pass it more and Michigan can win, run up against that dline and it's gonna be tough.

I don't expect us to run all over UGA at all, but Michigan has faced three of the top 10 defenses per SRS (#2 Wisky, #8 Iowa, #9 PSU). OSU is also 16th. Michigan was able to throw pretty well against PSU and Wisky. Even last night I thought Cade looked alright. The one interception was off the tight end's hands. Cade and JJ were efficient against OSU (14/20, 190 yards)

But yeah, I would like to see them open up the passing playbook more. Get Edwards more involved

You belong … I think Georgia is the best team this year in the NCAA … followed closely by Alabama
no one can be this dumb

It is irrelevant because the matchups would have been the same unless you think there is a difference in traveling to Miami instead of Dallas.

Matchups would have been different.

If Michigan is #1 they get to beat Cincinnati. Huge difference.

Additionally....

4 is enough.... expanding the field with more teams would just serve to water down the playoffs.

Adding teams such as Notre Dame, Ohio State, Baylor and Ole Miss for an 8 team playoff would be pointless.

My philosophy:
K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple, Stupid

1. Alabama
2. Michigan
3. Georgia
4. Cincinnati

I hate playing Georgia, but you don’t get anyone easy here.
Yeah....someone created a thread for it and everything.

Michigan should have been #1.
I thank you for the respect toward Michigan, but I really think Alabama deserves the #1 spot. Maybe a little lean towards Alabama because of their recent history, the way they handled Georgia or my not expecting Michigan to be the top team in the NCAA. I am proud of the way Michigan has been looking, and how they didn’t lose their focus after beating ohio state.

Bama at #2 would have gotten Georgia at #3, no?

One of the rules used in seeding the four is to avoid rematches in the opening round, IIRC. If UM were ranked #1, Bama at #2, then Cincy would have been put as #3 and UGA #4 to keep from having a Bama/UGA semi. I will look for that rule if you like.

I know many won't be a fan of this, but there is about 20 plus days until playoff. I am okay with a rematch. I hate the natty being a rematch.

That’s a stupid rule.

Teams are playing for a national championship and who they played last week has an impact?

Not surprising from college football. It’s not about anything besides maximizing profits.
