I'm with you ya crazy old drunk bird. Once a guy considers he has reached enough in his sack, the only reason to keep doing what he is doing is because he loves what he is doing to the point he can't live without the work. You may be right. Petersen reached that point or decided I've got enough and I don't have to put up with the part of coaching I don't like, i.e. putting up with wealthy boosters, school administration, recruiting, getting called out in the middle of the night because one idiotic players decided to steal some crablegs, etc. May have said "Piss on it. I've got better things to do."
