Yep. Sewanee was there for that and was also a founding member of the SEC, along with Tulane. The greatest football team in college history was 1899 Sewanee. They were 12-0 with 11 shutouts including five away game in six days to pay for their train travel to play Texas. In six days they beat Texas, TAMU, Tulane, LSU, and Ole Miss by a combined score of 93-0.
