Oklahoma hires Arbuckle for OC

i thought it was a package deal with Arbuckle and the QB??

Here's a quote from Arbuckle.

As far as I can tell, he will be an upgrade to what we presently have. I haven't heard about any other staff changes at this time.

You guys have a good track tecord with transfer QBs, Mayfield, Murray, Hurts, Gabriel.

No so much with recent recruits. Have to go back to the pride of Artesia, New Mexico, Landry Jones? :noidea: I really can’t remember the last OU WB recruit to work out.

Exactly. Just adapted to personnel or coach’s preference. Leach didn’t realy want QBs to run. (But some years they had no choice. And except for Mahomes, most of them were so slow they couldn’t run out of sight in a day anyway.)

It looks like some coaches still don’t want them running.

Blake Bell was a good one. How many OU quarterbacks can say they beat Notre Dame? And how many OU grads have won 3 Super Bowl rings? He did that as a TE.

That's what I remember him as. I forgot he played QB.

OK, I’ll bite. Why do you not like Arbuckle? His players seem to do well even though they haven’t faced really tough competition every week like in the SEC. And I don’t care if the guy is a dick. Can he COACH?
