He was on staff when we won the last one.

That's the only thing that registers with me...but it really doesn't mean squat.

The cool thing is, he knows that and would tell you the same thing.

He's a different kind of cat. Very high motor. Leads by example. He runs the scout team as QB for fucks sake.

I liked LR, he is an offensive mastermind but in hindsight I realize he has no other redeeming qualities. He'll never be on BV's level.

BV is creating/resurrecting a culture. Texas should look into something like that.

Glad Venables is in better shape than Kirby Smart. This is football coaching, not cross fit. We can talk when either put together a multiple top 10 teams. So far neither has put together a single top team yet

Wasn’t saying anything about Smart, comparisons were Sark and Riley. Venables is where he needs to be to succeed at the highest level period.

As bad as we’ve been over the years, we’ve had some assistants that “made a mark” for lack of a better term. Andy Reid and Hal Mumme both spent time as assistants on the border.
