GAME Orange Bowl: #6 TENN vs #7 CLEMSON • ESPN • 8ET

How does that happen?

Clemson is the better team but we out played them in first half. I hope we can keep this up as we desperately need this win as a program. Milton has played alright. The offensive play calling has been meh. Losing our OC, Alex Golesh, probably hurt. Although Heupel seems to know how to coach offense, I think Golesh was also a part of that recipe of success.

Agree. Believe if Clemson starts to click, y'all are done the 2nd Half, but the better team doesn't always win.

We needed at least 3 on that last drive
Also taking 3 to score first and not going with a fake FG is something Dabo usually goes with but can get carry away in bowl games

This didn’t age at all
Milton is fine if you tell him to just throw it as far as he can and a receiver makes a play on it. If he has to throw longer intermediate throws or deep balls with accuracy -- he is not good.

I got to watch a ton of Milton as he was our starting QB. He will make throws you don't even see on Sunday's, but then he will make throws where you want to pull your hair out.

To be fair, I don't think we have clicked well at times on offense. I think it is mostly the play calling although Clemson's defense has caused havoc on the line on some plays and they have a good defense.

Credit to Tennessee's bend but don't break defense. Clemson is moving the ball but no easy explosive plays that gets them into easy scoring positions

Your freshmen QB is making freshmen mistakes. Both teams are really showing their 2023 version of a team more than their 2022 teams in this game. Both coaches are probably liking the experience their QBs and other young players are getting on both sides of the ball.

I personally feel like we need this one more than you guys do to say we are truly "back". However, I do think you guys are the better team and I get nervous every time you get the ball.

Yeah, that has been our defense all year long. However, one opportunity you guys haven't taken advantage of is throwing on us on 4th down instead of kicking those FGs. I think you might have gotten a TD had you gone for it on those FG attempts.

Really like that one linebacker of Tennessee ... kid's a baller

Popped in to say basically the same thing. Clemson LOOKS like the better team…

Until it’s time to cash in for moving the ball all over the field.

IF they start scoring to go with moving the ball they may well win handily by the time it’s said & done.
