GAME ORANGE BOWL (CFP Semi): #7 ND vs #6 PSU • 6:30c • ESPN

Inexplicable that play was called and that that ball was thrown in that situation. Its mind boggling you don’t just call till out plays and only throw to a wide open option.

And that is why they call him big game James

Dude will be rooting so hard for whomever comes out between Texas and Ohio State

With their new NBC TV deal, and now getting $20 million in CFP revenue, ND will be making the most TV $$ this year. Independent FTW!

An ND/OSU has to be the worst matchup possible for Michigan fans. At least you got that Natty last year.
ND doesn't really bother me. (probably helps that we're 7-3 in the last 10 matchups). I know it's a rivalry but somehow I think it operates on a different plane. Michigan winning followed by ND winning is some sort of dystopian hellscape if you're a Michigan State or USC fan. And I kinda love that.

With that said, I think Texas is the only team left with a legitimate shot at taking out Ohio State. I think Ohio State blows the doors off that ND team we saw last night....unless they revert to the Michigan game offense.

Sure, it is a sweet deal. This combined with playing less games than anyone else in the playoff? Why would they join a conference? That would be insanity

He will be rich nigga!

You seen his buyout?
I'd wager he probably already has enough money for multiple lifetimes. ND probably paid him $20-$25 million in his time there and LSU has already paid him $30 million in 3 seasons. Now....another $61 million wouldn't hurt lol, but I think he's "rich" by any sense of the word already. He'll just be MORE rich...
We wouldn't have to eat Kraft Dinner
But we would eat Kraft Dinner
Of course we would, we'd just eat more
And buy really expensive ketchups with it
That's right, all the fanciest-, Dijon ketchup, mm, mm

Also, why the fuck are schools giving coaches 10 year guaranteed contracts these days? Jesus. In the world we live in that's fucking stupid unless that coach is like Nick Saban and he's already at your school.

ND defense has come a long way since this guy lol

I think it's a product of the market. Like you stated, Kelly was already well paid while at ND. So how does LSU entice an already extremely well paid coach at a top program to come to them? Longer terms and guaranteed money.

Sports contracts are really just scheduled payments. As we have seen, if a school wants to fire someone they are gonna do it regardless of the contact (ex. Jimbo Fisher). If a school can afford to make an offer like that, they can also afford to fire them with the buyout.
