GAME Oregon Ducks (10-2) vs. Utah Utes (9-3) 8:00 PM ABC ET

Don't care, but I'll watch.

It's just weird that it's on a Friday
This will be the 11th Pac 12 championship game.
this will be the 10th time it has been played on a Friday night.

the reasoning being that no other games being played means the people like you, who otherwise dont watch Pac 12 football on a regular when there are options, will be more likely to watch.

SEC and AAC at the same time. not usually a competition but people will be looking to see Cinci.
Big 10 and ACC at the same time.

Seemed to me the running game was way off vs Utah. Maybe I'm not remembering that right. I fully expected the ducks to be more productive on the ground. Ducks finished with 63 yards on the ground? How is a QB supposed to do their thing with putrid running like that?

The question is, how are they going to get the rushing they didn't have in game 1. If they get that ground game, his QBR will go well up.

Also, isn't it expected that QBR scores are low in games you are playing from behind? He was forced into more throwing because of the score, and the bad running game wasn't he?
other close games similar attempts better numbers. he couldnt connect against Utah and not always because of the defense.

For some reason Oregon was throwing on 1st down. Poor play calling/execution on 1st/2nd down meant 3rd and forever all game long.

Here's the question for you though, WHY was Oregon blown out? It's a question you are far more suited to answer. Was it injuries? Out coached or out matched in the trenches? Just a down game for the boys after the prior week?

College can be so far up and down from week to week. If they had any lapses in attention or motivation the first time, they certainly wouldn't have it here. However, if there are issues early I could see them puckering up pretty quickly too.

What is different on the injury front for this game vs the prior? Any kids returned that missed that one? New ones out? On both teams really.
It was the altitude of Salt Lake City, at least that's what has been stated a few times.

Someone listed a bunch in another thread. I don’t know about blowouts going the other way the second time. The only thing I can think of is UW/Nebraska in 2010. Nebraska skull fucked us early in the year and UW pulled off the upset in the Holiday Bowl.

A bit different though, the Holliday bowl was a letdown for Nebraska that year, Utah for sure wants to be there.
It was Big XII politics that got us there in the Holiday.

I just bet on Utah, you’re welcome Ducks fans - you 2 @OregonDucks.

Between that and their OC expected to take the HC job at Akron after the game tonight, there are other distractions around the program not really helping them stay focused on the last two games.

Apparently oregon has offered him a big extension, which points to that being totally for real.

He already has a big extension. I guess they can up the $$$ amount though.

I take it they didn't play in Boulder this year because it is about 1,000 feet higher in altitude than SLC IIRC.

Seriously?

It's Mario Cristobal's last game coaching the Ducks.

I don’t think Mario is dumb enough to take the Miami job. Home means something but that programs a mess.
