I have no idea what the contract said, but his lawyer says the $200,000 was the buyout in the contract and he met his obligation. I guess we will see.

I feel like that has definitely happened; wasn't that pretty common in the early 2000's actually? I just can't think of an example and am too lazy to try and dig into 20 year old google data.
