Oregon St and Wash St have sued the Pac 12 so they can call ALL the shots for the conference now

Bylaws give them the right to take over sole ownership of the Board of Directs see below:

"The essence of Washington State and Oregon State's concerns, if the league's 12 schools formally meet, is that the current members could vote to dissolve or evenly distribute the remaining assets. Washington State and Oregon State consider themselves the only board members and are seeking to survey their options moving forward. They pointed to the conference's bylaws, which state that any notice of withdrawal from the league means a school "automatically cease(s) to be a member of the Pac-12 Board of Directors and shall cease to have the right to vote on any matter."

I hope they win control of the conference, fire everyone in the PAC 12 offices and keep all PAC 12 assets for themselves.

Good for them. Take the bull by the horns. If everyone else is leaving the conference, the remaining members should be the only ones getting a vote on what happens to the conference.

Yes, and they should be able to control what happens to the brand name and logo- if they want to somehow revive the conference in the future.

LOL found this little nugget on Twitter:

The CAA has a rule that any members who have publicly announced they’re leaving are ineligible for conference tournaments and championships. If able to gain voting rights, Oregon State/Wazzu could simply declare themselves the 2023 Pac-12 Championship Game participants.

And subsequently forfeit the TV dollars. Bold strategy!

Besides, Oregon St/Washington St need to keep their rivalry games with Oregon/UW intact. They aren't going to intentionally piss off those schools by doing something moronic.

That contracts done been signed for the 2023 PAC 12 CCG.

I'm fairly confident the TV contracts don't allow for Oregon St/Washington St to put themselves in.

At the very least, it would be an unenforceable contract.

I hope they vote to allow only one home and one away uniform per school.

They can do whatever they want for the 2024 season and beyond

and split the bowl game amounts between those 2?

Oregon and Washington are gonna do what they're gonna do regardless. If they value those in-state rivalries they'll keep them. They could also promise to keep those games, but with their fingers crossed behind their back.

You have personal bias affecting your thought process here.

We'll find out Monday if the judge grants the emergency temporary restraining order.
Since the PAC 12 has yet to dissolve I'm guessing the order will be granted.

"Pac-12 bylaws indicate that the presidents at Oregon State and Washington State -- the only members that have not given notification of withdrawal -- should constitute the league's board of directors."
