Oregon St and Wash St have sued the Pac 12 so they can call ALL the shots for the conference now

Oregon and Washington are gonna do what they're gonna do regardless. If they value those in-state rivalries they'll keep them. They could also promise to keep those games, but with their fingers crossed behind their back.

You have personal bias affecting your thought process here.

We'll find out Monday if the judge grants the emergency temporary restraining order.
Since the PAC 12 has yet to dissolve I'm guessing the order will be granted.

"Pac-12 bylaws indicate that the presidents at Oregon State and Washington State -- the only members that have not given notification of withdrawal -- should constitute the league's board of directors."

Oh, I have no issue with OSU/WSU being the only people on the Board.

The point of contention is that they would put themselves into the P12 title game (or any other act that crosses the Rubicon)...way too much to lose for them.

I'm fairly confident the TV contracts don't allow for Oregon St/Washington St to put themselves in.

At the very least, it would be an unenforceable contract.

Have you read the contract? I haven't.
Are the departing teams eligible to play in the CCG? I don't know.

"the two teams with the highest conference winning percentage will face off in the championship game"

Since the PAC 12 is still 12 teams for 2023 then it would obviously be "the two teams with the highest conference winning percentage".

"The emergency temporary restraining order being sought for Monday has zero to do with that and is regarding any further voting by the teams that have announced their departure and any further control of PAC 12 assets moving forward.

Assuming the agreement was written well, this only makes sense. The other schools should have no say in how the conference operates in the future. They are gone and no longer members of the conference starting next year. The problem is that there may be some language that says once the conference goes below a certain number of teams it dissolves. Otherwise, whatever the conference is worth in assets, etc., they get. Moreover, aren't there exit fees the other schools have to pay? That would go to the existing schools - the two of them. When it was 4, I remember there being a discussion that the PAC-4 had 2 years to decide what to do ... this could be really cool from a legal and practice perspective. They walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars would be awesome.

No exit fees.

It would be very funny if they put themselves in the pac12 title gm

The networks aren't going to pay the same amount for Oregon St. vs. Washington St., and would likely sue.
They can sue all they want but it won’t go anywhere. The two left are going to get an amazing payout plus and won’t lose P5 status for at least a couple of years.

On what TV deal? And a league of 2 will play who for those 2 years?

Bylaws give them the right to take over sole ownership of the Board of Directs see below:

"The essence of Washington State and Oregon State's concerns, if the league's 12 schools formally meet, is that the current members could vote to dissolve or evenly distribute the remaining assets. Washington State and Oregon State consider themselves the only board members and are seeking to survey their options moving forward. They pointed to the conference's bylaws, which state that any notice of withdrawal from the league means a school "automatically cease(s) to be a member of the Pac-12 Board of Directors and shall cease to have the right to vote on any matter."

I hope they win control of the conference, fire everyone in the PAC 12 offices and keep all PAC 12 assets for themselves.
I think that's exactly what this all about, get all the money out of em as they possibly can and they should cause, they gonna need it.

Right now...the Pac2

LMAO

Oregon State and Washington State have a good case to control the PAC 12 infrastructure moving forward. The most likely outcome now is a merger with the MWC. The conference would keep the MWC leadership and TV contract but brand themselves as the PAC and acquire any leftover assets that the PAC has.

LOL, if you think the other PAC schools aren't getting paid for this year you are nuts.

I don't know how the PAC 12 contract is structured, but the Big 12 withheld Nebraska's final payment when they bolted to the Big 10.

The bylaws indicate that the departing schools are entitled to their 23-24 revenue share.

It is really irrelevant who each team plays. The Pac 2 is going to stay a P5 until the next deal.

Now the big question is what is Oregon State and Wazzu going to do with the $100 million or whatever we are going to get, try to buyout the MWC or just pocket it.
