Oregon State & Washington State Officially Rule The PAC 12

Looks like OSU and WSU are testing the waters:

"Oregon State & Washington State are inching closer to agreeing to a two-year football scheduling alliance with the Mountain West, sources tell
@YahooSports

.The model would have MWC teams play 7 conference games + 1 game against OSU or WSU. Story soon..."

Basically, they would form a scheduling "alliance" with the MWC but not join and not be eligible for the conference championship. Not sure how non-football sports factor in.

Interesting Fact:

"The MWC does not have a Grant of Rights and believes its exit fee bylaw extends in perpetuity, according to a league source. That means it would cost at least $17 million for a member to leave with more than one year’s notice or at least $35 million if leaving with less than one year’s notice, no matter the status of the TV deal, which runs through 2025-26."

I'm not sure that holds up and some point this is going to come to a head where OSU and WSU either join as full members or enough members leave the MWC and form a new PAC. Its just interesting and I'm not sure whey the MWC would throw them this lifeline without some assurances but maybe they are part of the deal and not being reported.

It gives them possession of the PAC brand and all physical assets and it will be interesting what they do with it. You have to think there is some kind of merger in the future with like the MWC and rebranding as a new PAC coming.
Michigan is looking for a new home, from what I hear. The would fit in perfectly in the new PAC-3.

Great pickup.

Of course, the ACC would probably take them for a 50% share.

Looks like OSU and WSU are testing the waters:

so Oregon State has a game with Boise in 24 and WSU with SJSU and SDSU
WSU also has SDSU in 25 and OSU has Fresno.

so do these games go away or become part of the schedule?
i think it would be odd if WSU was paying SJSU to come to Pullman but then later in the season Wyoming, Utah State, Hawaii and New Mexico are not getting paid.
Im also going to assume that the 2Pac will play 3 OOC 8MWC and then each other?

They will play each other twice. Once during the regular season and then in the championship game.
