Dude, Oregon's is the founder of Nike, an elite and world leading sports business. Oregon and Nike started a partnership in the 90's, in which Nike tried out prototypes and other sports related things with the Ducks. The Ducks have since benefited from that partnership, but in that partnership it's clear that Nike and Knight are invested in Oregon athletics and want Oregon athletics to be consistent powers and national champions in football, because if Oregon is successful in football, Nike is very successful. You're ridiculous if you think every major program doesn't have big time boosters that can throw money at these kids.
Oregon may have one of if not the most public one, but all your USCs, Bamas, Ohio State's, Texas, etc etc have more wealth than they could ever possibly need to support this NIL thing
Think about it, Nike, being a sports business, if they were a store, Oregon Ducks are their window display to get shoppers to come into the store and shop and buy. If Nike can get their window display to also be the face or top program of college football? That's great for business. That's what you want on window display and at the front of the store. The program you helped create and promote and build is the top program in the sport.
