Question....
Don't these two teams also control millions of dollars that the PAC II will get down the road?
Not sure where you are getting your info but that isn’t what has been in any papers. The college football playoff payment alone is going to be more $16 million for 24 and 25 to the two schools. The Pac 2 will be a AQ conference until 2025 even with 2 schools. I ain’t no lawyer but with the schools lawyers stated unless there is a settlement both will be getting close to $100 million a piece. There's not gonna be much left once the media rights payments are made for 2023 football then 2024 basketball and baseball seasons. The current media rights contract expires next July. They owe a commissioner $3.5 million/year for a few more years.
You're looking at maybe $16 million each when all is said and done.
The PAC 12 Network is wholly owned, but has little value at just two teams. A merger with the MWC might save it, but very few east of the Rockies watched it before the PAC 12 collapse. The MWC also had a network, but it went defunct.
Probably best to sell off it's assets to some west coast upstart media company that'll likely not even be sports related. Maybe they can get $5 or $10 million there.
On that note the PAC 2 should invite schools that don't make much revenue to share the profits....Not sure where you are getting your info but that isn’t what has been in any papers. Having the 2 schools own the rights to the network sure as hell does have value to the schools. It was the catch 22 of having the network to begin with.

Huh?
"How much does a team get for making the College Football Playoff?
Each conference receives $6 million from the College Football Playoff for each team selected for a semifinal game and $4 million for each team that plays in a non-playoff bowl under the College Football Playoff. There is no additional payout for the National Championship Game, only additional expenses covered."

How much do teams make for the College Football Playoff? We've got the 2023-24 revenue distribution plan plus payouts from past years.businessofcollegesports.com
As an AQ, one of the two will get into a NY6 bowl. Divided up that'll be $2 million each for 2024 and 2025.
NCAA Basketball Tourney units are just $2 million.
Washington St hasn't made the NCAA Basketball tourney since 2008. So there's $1 million each if Oregon St makes it.
There's no value in the PAC 12 Network other than hardware. Software would all have to be recoded.
What others might fail to see, and I gather that WSU is smarter than you, is that they along with OSU will be the sole controllers of the PAC 12 Network and it will bring them more revenue than them jumping ship to another conference as the other teams did.Huh?

What lower-level school wouldn't want to join the PAC 12 and gain more revenue than they currently are receiving?NCAA tournament money isn't given out the same year, so it's quite likely OSU/WSU would be the beneficiaries of the other teams making the NCAA tournament, provided they can keep the conference alive long enough.
