Pac12 expansion - looking to add 4 teams

Yeah, they should be ranked over all 3, at this point. That might change after this weekend because I can see them losing @ Boise.

I don't believe they should at this point (over 2). But a win over Boise and they'll be ranked over at least 2. Maybe all 3

Yeah, I know but your reasoning doesn't make a lot of sense IMO. It's basically they deserve to be ranked because they were ranked in the preseason.

Yes, I know it doesn't make sense to you. I don't think Udub or TT will turn out to be good wins while I think winning at Tulane beating Arizona and Arkansas are. If Wazzou wins this week they will definitely be ranked over 2 of them.

Notre Dame is undoubtedly in the greatest position in college football realignment history as they can stay independent, pick whichever conference they choose should they decide to join one or can get a conference to bend over backward for their other sports and allow football to be independent.

Texas and Oklahoma were pretty much second in that could have picked the B12, PAC 12, SEC or B1G at any point.

UNLV is lucky they are potentially getting the opportunity to upgrade their conference which wouldn't have been available if the PAC hadn't folded.

Early season polls have always been irrelevant and have become even more irrelevant since the formation of the CFP committee.

I agree KSU and Okie Lite haven't done anything other than start the year ranked. But, to date, I'll list a bunch of teams that also really haven't done much other than start the year ranked. We'll start at the top and work down.

Ohio State - Akron, Western Michigan, Marshall
Ole Miss - Furman, Middle Tennessee, Wake Forest, Georgia Southern
Miami - Florida, Florida A&M, Ball State, USF

If you keep going there are others. Many will do more to earn their rankings in the future, but others won't. So if we're going to make a list of teams that have done nothing or little to nothing other than start the year ranked, we need to be inclusive, no?

I don't think the best G6 teams can compete well enough to beat the top of the P2. Hell, I don't even think the best Middling 2 can compete with the top of the P2. We've seen the bottom of the P2 can't compete with the top of the P2. At least not day in and day out.

Yeah, I can see a Clemson or Miami type beating Ohio State or Texas in a game which is going to make the 12 playoff fun. But I don't see them winning a stretch of in season games like Ohio State, Penn State, USC or a Georgia, Texas, Ole Miss. That will be what the playoffs look like...at least after the first round. JMO.

Tuesday, Wednesday Friday games make more sense to me than Thursday games do now that the NFL has gone to Thursday games. Going head to head with the NFL for viewership is an exercise in futility imo.

Boise has 69 points in the poll and Wazzu has 67, so basically the same. It’ll sort itself out on Saturday anyway. Truthfully I’d rather Wazzu have the meaningless number next to their name going into the game than us.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least bit. I can’t believe the line opened at Boise -7/7.5. I believe it’s since come down to 6.5. I think this is a coin flip game that could go either way.

Wazzu +200 straight up is great value IMO.

Guess we'll agree to disagree. Zona has looked like shit every game. They're going to get rocked this weekend. I don't think TT will be any good, but neither will Arkansas.

I think there is an argument for both of you guys to be ranked right now. But it will sort itself out after tomorrow. You guys win you are definitely moving up some.
