There is no automatic statusAnymore if I’m Oregon State and Wazzou Im not sad if Calford go to the ACC. That gives those two schools that PAC emergency fund or whatever it’s called of like 400 million all to them. Then they can start buying teams out of their G5 conferences for 2025. If I’m them, I try to grab 8 and just go back to the PAC 10 name.
Grab: SDSU, UNLV, Tulane, SMU, Boise St, Fresno St, Colorado St and Nevada.
IMO this is the best/most realistic chance of keeping that automatic status for the CFP. (Not saying it’s a guarantee just that they could keep it.) There’s really no need travel to Philadelphia, The North Carolina shoreline and Florida for conference games if it doesn’t help the chances of keeping that A status.
But alas one LARGE hurdle is the timing. What would those two schools do in 2024?
