Packers Trying To Ban The Eagles Tush Push

Somewhat less gay than tush push, but still pretty gay.

I heard an announcer refer to it as the brotherly shove which as a play on Philadelphia being the City of Brotherly Love, I thought was pretty clever and only slightly gay.
Bears are calling theirs “at least we didn’t lose yardage this time”

First things first.

Fuck the Eagles.

That being said, anybody crying about the Tush Push is a soft ass pussy. You don't like the Tush Push? Find a way to stop it. It's just like the shift in MLB. Learn to hit the ball where there is no defender.

They wanna Tush Push? Devise a way to stop it and it will go away. That's what you get paid these millions of dollars to do.

Soft ass crybabies.

To my knowledge, very few injuries have happened on the play, other than the Giants (lulz) getting one of their guys hurt.

Except Mahomes, who managed to get horribly injured on the play.

Players get hurt more frequently doing mundane non-football shit. Hell, Michael Strahan probably strained his back flossing his teeth.

Bottom line, it’s the NFL. Of course, they will add a new rule.

5 years ago, on a garden-variety QB sneak, not a push. Not surprised that little twink got hurt, though.

Seems like a natural follow-on to the ‘Assisting the Runner’ rules in the NFL:

Article 4. Assisting The Runner And
Interlocking Interference
No offensive player may:
(a) pull a runner in any direction at any time; (b) use interlocking interference, by grasping a teammate or by using his hands or arms to encircle the body of a teammate in an effort to block an opponent;

In the end, the NFL will probably ban the play because Kansas City can’t run any kind of sneak play, for fear it will break Mahomes, the QB the League has decided to groom to be the GOAT.
The NFL is already starting to look like a Nancy league. Banning the shove would make them look like they're bending to whiny girls who want to take their ball and go home.

He acted like his ankle was completely broken in SB57 and he was going to die. He was running around just fine a half hour later. I think he's just got a lie tolerance for pain.

The Redskins tried but were warned they were gonna give the Eagles a TD anyway so who knows

They did stop them on the first attempt in that sequence. Washington just couldn't stay disciplined afterwards though.

Detroit want's record, not Division title, to determine the auto-buy. I like it the way it is. Win your division or stfu.

who proposed that playoff seeding should be based on record -- regardless of division honors. That would also mean that winning a division title would not guarantee a home game in the wild-card round.

The tush push is addressed in the article below also.

Detroit wants a 11-win WC to have a home game over a 9-win division winner. I'm with you though. If you want the home games, win your division. At this point, there's only one bye, so there's no way to get a bye without winning your division. It would change the way the brackets played out, though. This past season, I think Philly would have been bumped down to the 3 seed, Minny might have gotten the 2 (better conference record, IIRC), and then the 4 and 5 seeds would have been Washington and Green Bay, so Tampa and the Rams would have started the playoffs on the road.

One rule change I agree with is removing the automatic first down on defensive holding and illegal contact penalties.

Doing it the way Detroit wants means in their scenario, they would have not played their starters in the last game...which is bad for viewership. The NFL wants viewership.

The NFL needs to quit fucking with shit every fucking year.

Fucking game stood the same for decades, and then one year they decided to change shit every fucking season. It's gay af. Leave it be.

They were both playing for the bye, wouldn't have impacted that. I don't think the league will go for it, but if anything it would encourage teams in the wild card chase to try to win more games to have a shot at a home game. It's not unusual for a wild card 5 seed to have a better record than the worst division winner, and sometimes the worst division winner has the worst record of all playoff teams. It incentivizes the winners of shitty divisions to not pack it in after week 16 if they're not in the #1 seed race.

I don't agree with the Lions but they basically were defending how the vikings got the short end of the stick this season. The Packers are whiny bitches.

There is nothing new to rule change proposals. What has really changed? Kickoffs?

Nah, he's right. Every year, someone wants something evaluated and changed. Remember the experiment of saying receivers could still get credited with a catch, even if forced out of bounds in the air?

Kickoffs are unwatchable. The quarterback isn't able to be contacted. I'm not saying the game shouldn't ever change, but every year the competition committee is altering something?
