GM tells Darnold Panthers 'could add' QB in draft

Carolina Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer met with Sam Darnold on Monday and told the No. 3 pick of the 2018 NFL draft "there's a pretty good chance" the team would add a quarterback during the upcoming draft weekend.

I mean, was this story really necessary? Is Darnold that delusional that he would throw a fit if another QB were drafted?
 
As much as I love the draft everyone (ESPN) also can get annoying as shit with it.

Ha, true. But not sure even Darold's mom thinks he is comparable to Rodgers. It's one thing to throw a fit when you are a perennial MVP candidate (for right or wrong) and another when you couldn't even look decent on the Jets or Panthers.

They could still add Willis early in the 2nd but I just don't see it. Maybe roll with Darnold one more year and slight possibility they ask the Browns to cover most of Baker's salary and they trade for him.

Yup, I can see that. My laughter over this is the article making it sound like they needed to inform Darnold so he wasn't surprised that they drafted another QB.
 
One of these days they're gonna be right about the Panthers drafting a quarterback.
