Payouts to fired FBS coaches

Anyone know how much of this is going to Charlie Weiss? Or was he prior to 2010?

Kansas may be the only one. I'm guessing what Notre Dame paid him isn't included since the article noted it didn't include private school payouts. Pretty sure Briles got something like $4+ million from Baylor so it isn't included in that figure either.
I think Charlie Weis got his last payment from the Domers in 2017. I get mixed readings from Google... :twitch:

We were unranked to start the season...so we will have exceeded expectations dramatically

You were "unranked to start the season" because everybody knows how Harbaugh will finish the season.

Pre-season rankings are simply an expectation of the final outcome.

You were boasting about a #7 (in-season) ranking.

Which wins were you bragging about?

Michigan/Harbaugh = The very definition of counting your chickens before they hatch.

You seem very angry that you paid $6.5 million to fire the best coach you've had in two decades

having $21 million in dead money for firing Herman and his staff was well worth it

Are you Jen Psaki?

Again.... Nebraska doesn't aspire to be Harbaugh/Michigan or Ferentz/Iowa

That's what they were under Pelini.

You aspire to being Rutgers?

Not when we fire and hire.

If you Michigan fans are fine with being another Iowa, then you do you.

At this point Michigan is not even Iowa. Ferentz has CC's in 2002 and 2004.

In Harbaugh's tenure Michigan is (1-4) in bowl games.
Iowa is (3-2)

I mean, has Sark been any better?
YES.

sure they shit the bed in the 4th quarter but where the hell would this team be if Tom was still here? He would have lost more players to the portal and imagine life without Xavier Worthy..

Tom would have struggled since everything was pointed at last season to be the year and he fell flat when it counted the most. Not sure he would have been able to do anything when he lost his NFL QB, LT, DE, and Safety.

Sark is 4-4, Tom was 3-4 at one point his first season with a better roster.

Not real fair to compare a first year to 4 years.

Not saying Sark is gonna make Texas any better, but as every program's media, fans, etc.. say about a first year coach "You gotta give him time to implement his system and players".

Saban went (7-6) his first season
Dabo went (6-7) his second season
Tressel went (7-5) his first season

Absolutely give him time but this is also the #ALLGASNOBRAKES crowd who was demanding everyone to take them seriously because they TEXAS IS BACK. Texas is back more than the McRib but only one of them actually shows up.

Meh. That all ended when they lost to Arkansas. Even then, were they referring to Sark's first season?

Did you miss how they were going to beat Oklahoma because Sark intentionally lost to get the team focused for the rest of the season?

Must have, but you gotta admit that Oklahoma looked pretty beatable at the time.

5, 7, 3, and 6 point wins.
