Purdue had 87 yards on 21 carries (excluding sacks). It's not like they weren't able to run the ball. And it's not like O'Connell had a good game in the air (29/58, 356 yards, 6.1 Y/A, 1 TD, 0 INT). There were a few incompletions that probably should have been pass interferences, but it happened to Penn State as well. The refs were pretty awful.

Just not sure how you don't attempt to run the ball leading with under 6 minutes left.
 
This and the Pitt-WV games were really good.

It was a good move on his part. Would have been a great return specialist and okay WR at Iowa. OC Brian Ferentz wouldn't have used him like Purdue did
