He was going to be taken in because the vessel wasn't registered. That's BS, IMO. If he was that far out, shouldn't he be in international waters?

But he was arrested because he threatened to kill himself and blow up a bomb (that didn't really exist).

I'm currently reading a book called "Completely Mad" about two british men who solo-rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in 1969. One started in the Canaries and rowed to Florida, the other started in the Canadian Maritimes and rowed to Ireland. At the time it had never been done before.

Their accomplishments might have been a bigger deal had not both of them completed their journeys within days of the Apollo 11 moon landing; there's a quote early in the book about how twice as many men have walked on the moon as have successfully rowed solo across the Atlantic. Let's give Hamster Wheel Dude a chance

Gyms: might need to walk 4-6 blocks for those, but there are dozens of garage cross-fit operations and a couple of big chains.

Weed: the 12 head shops I mentioned. Although it should be said that none of them are licensed by the State at this point, and may be subject to seizure and closure at any time.
