People With Birthdays Right Around Christmas

Wife's birthday is 12/21. She is an only child so every day was special for her growing up, no siblings. I make a point to not just "double up" on gifts for her.

I get her back though by having my birthday on Feb 16. I make sure she doesn't double up my V-day and B-day presents, unless she actually "doubles up" on them.
Get her a mop.

That is one gift she will NEVER forget.

My dad's is right after Christmas and before New Years. The 28th.

ha! my younger brother and I ALSO share birthdays one day apart. Mine is October 2nd, his is October 3rd (4 years apart). And yes, it sucked having joint birthday parties as kids (although we DID get our own gifts, didn't have to share them), but I'm sure it saved my parents some $$$
I was born the day before my brothers first birthday. He has always maintained that I was his birthday present, so I had to do what ever he told me to do. Sometimes he'd ask my mom for the receipt so he could take me back and exchange me.

My sons is jan 12th, and he usually gets tons of cash, cause he already got everything for Christmas

My son was born in conjunction with Memorial Day weekend and my daughter was born in conjunction with Labor Day weekend. Both of them got screwed worse than Christmas birthdays. At least with Christmas birthdays, you've got a lot of family around to shower you with gifts; if your birthday party lands on Memorial Day or Labor Day weekends, no one is going to show up because they're all out of town on extended weekend excursions.

One of the grandsons was born on Christmas eve. The daughter came up with a pretty good way to handle it. We do a small "party" with just the family the weekend before his birthday. Then the weekend after New Years he has a bigger party with his friends.

We usually just get something small/inexpensive for that one. Then, we get him something a little nicer for his party with his friends. Family who attend both parties aren't expected to get him gifts for both, but usually do anyway.

He actually makes out pretty well with that arrangement.
