He’s a crazy cult leader. He gets what he wants.hmmm. Too soon IMO.
Glen Mason had a (10-3) season, two 8 win seasons, and two 7 win seasons at Minny.
Jerry Kill had two 8 win seasons in Minny.
Tracy Clays had a 9 win season in Minny.
Fleck just has the one 11 win season

They didn't play Ohio St, Michigan, or Sparty in that 11 win season, but they did beat (9-4) Auburn in the Outback Bowl.
Auburn didn’t want to be therehmmm. Too soon IMO.

Prime will be called up to the big leagues soon but he ain’t coaching in that ice palace, he a southern boy.
was a horrible loss no doubt, but one game cant decide his coaching career. He had previously won like 23 straight non conference games (yes, most were cream puffs, but few ok teams in there)If my team lost to Bowling Green, unless it’s a first year coach taking on a massive rebuild, I’d want him shitcanned immediately after the game.
They did beat an 11-2 Penn State in 2019
So, it is LSU then for Prime. How about it you bayou boys?Prime will be called up to the big leagues soon but he ain’t coaching in that ice palace, he a southern boy.

You just described Harbaugh didn't you?Finishing 2-2 against the top 15 isn't a bad job. Especially when you go 9-0 against everyone else.
He was definitely on other schools radar for job opening after job he did at Western Michigan and Minnesota and have no doubt on recruiting trailing other coaches were using it against himYeah. I remember that game. Look at Minny's 8 wins leading up to that 2019 PSU win though.
My point was the previous 3 coaches had spurts of promise as well. Fleck still has Iowa and Wisconsin this season, so he could still finish 8-4 which was done by Mason, Kill, and Claeys.
Other than the 11 win season, it would be Flecks first season with more than 7 wins. I'd be careful of anointing him savior of Goofer football and worthy of a bigger job at this point.

Minnesota has lower expectations than MI fans so Fleck has that going for himYou just described Harbaugh didn't you?

I think people have overstated how bad of a job Harbaugh's done. That said, expectations at Minnesota aren't as high as they are at Michigan. It's tougher to recruit at Minnesota than Michigan. Given all that, Fleck's done a great job

It's really a 2 year extension, half million raise, 300k staff increase budget, and doubling his buyout to 10 million and slower reduction in his buyout giving both him and MN security.
His buyout is still less than Frosts and his annual pay is now only marginally more. For comparison sake.
Minnesota is in their best 3 year stretch of football since the 60's
I don't have stats memorized and too lazy to look them, but Fleck winning % overall and in the B1G put him in top of gopher coaches all time. He's got few other positive trends showing how well he's done and how bad MN has been since 1967 (Sorry fred, it's true)
Most MN fans I know want the bad years to be 6 win shitty bowl, more often than not be in the B1GW hunt and occasionally win the damn thing and beating Wi/Ia more than once a decade (Kill got few wins vs Ia, I think 3) but PJ is first coach to beat Wi since Glenn Mason. I'd be happy with 500 between the 2
although if he loses to Scott Frost next year, I'll demand his head
