Playoff LOLs

I can't imagine any Michigan fan would be upset with Ohio winning games. You guys have been the most impressive team by a landslide thus far. Watching that Oregon game was entertaining for everyone.
You need a more active imagination. Ever hear of Dave Portnoy?

Did he lose money on it? I know he has the schtick with the Ohio fans that work for Barstool -- but I think that is more click bait than anything else.

I will agree his persona online is of a pompous ass, but I watched a video the other day online -- a military vet owned a pizza shop in Philly, i think -- he was going to close in less than a week and Portnoy tried his pizza and gave him a high mark, asked the guy what it'd take to keep his business open for a year -- the guy said $60,000 and Portnoy said done and gave the guy $60k.

Portnoy is still the douchiest of douchebags, Michigan fans who actually like home being associated with the university are kidding themselves. Just because someone does some charitable shit here and there doesn't automatically make them a great person.

I saw that. Good on him, but he is on fire trolling Ohio State fans right now.

It is all an online persona to get clicks. And he doesn't just do charitable stuff here or there -- he does that stuff all the time. He has already raised over $1 million for rescue dogs since he adopted Miss Peaches and now he has another one. I don't know that dogs name.

It isn't a coincidence that multiple of the other main guys on his shows are Ohio fans. That is part of the schtick for Barstool

He does that relentlessly. It is all for clicks, imo. If he really despised Ohio like that -- he wouldn't employ so many Ohio fans on his show.

He knows Ohio is one of the biggest fan bases. So is Michigan. To draw as many people as possible into his show. He makes money on ad revenue -- the more clicks he gets, the more money they make.

It is a very smart business strategy.

I just looked into the charitable stuff for Portnoy, as I only knew what I had heard from others.

His online persona is definitely cringeworthy, but the guy puts his money where his mouth is.

He started the Barstool Fund during Covid with an inital $500,000 donation and raised almost $40 million and helped over 300 small businesses.
Then when NYPD officer was shot killed in the line of duty and had a family with small children -- he gave the family 100% of t-shirt sales and raised$750,000 for the family and then matched the $750,000 out of his own pocket to give them 1.5 million.
