Go back to the format where two wild card teams have a one-game play in to see who takes on the team with the best record in the league.

I say go back to 4 teams per league make the playoffs. This shit format ended a playoff drought for the Phillies that I held dear to my heart

I’m thinking the long lay-off for the teams with byes might work against em, but otherwise with the rotation set up, they should have a major advantage over any teams in the WC round. If the Mets beat the Padres, they won’t be able to send deGrom or Scherzer out in game one against the Dodgers

The thing I liked about the format I mentioned is that division winners get an advantage.

I don't think wild card winners should have the same opportunity as division winners.

Hard to say.

I'm not sure all the time off is good for teams. You're right about the rotations, though.

I liked the 1-game wild card format. It kicked off the playoff with two "game 7s."
