Post Easter Monday, red meat is back on the menu

The kids whose parents shipped them off to boarding school moved away from their cold family after graduating? Ya don't say
I only know a couple people who went to boarding school. Of those, one of which was a momma's boy. I imagine boarding schools would lead to abandonment issues....
 
True. Lots of generational farms and businesses still. I imagine the larger cities still have the youth escaping.
The "lifestyle" of wanting to experience new things and a new..."life"...is much different in the Midwest than where I'm from.

A lot of people here hear "travel" and think "Minneapolis". Or "move away and do something new" and think, "I went to college 100 miles away"

Even my boy @redseat moved away from B-town

That I did. I will admit I am thinking about moving closer though.. Less expensive and more bang for your buck... Plus everyone I know pretty much has moved back to the surrounding area...

I've spent more time with my family lately than I used to. Think since SA can't be around hers she likes to try to do stuff with mine.
I'm usually the one putting effort on my side of the family

midwesterners wait until retirement to leave
 
Aren't there a lot of multigenerational living in some of the bigger cities?
well if town has 1000 people, chances are a good % are related in some form or the other
