I know about them, but I think Eastern was something native also. Hurons if I'm not mistaken

I just checked, it was Hurons since 1929 until PC happened

It is so crazy to me to see EMU have a good football team. My buddy was a QB for them and another buddy was a MLB for them -- I still play in a fantasy football league with them.

Their football program back then had essentially thrown in the towel. All the team did was party. The QB would wake up in the morning and immediately hit the two story bong. I would party there with them every weekend I was able to. It wasn't just the football team that partied either -- the entire volleyball and softball teams would be at their house every weekend.

Nice to see they have someone who has turned the program around.

Lol it's crazy how much the landscape of college football has changed. 90% of the MAC was like that in the 80s/90s/earlier 2000s. Just awful.

My uncle has stories about them asking him and his friends to man the chains for Ohio University in the Late 80s/early 90s when they attended games hungover (or still drunk even) because the people who were supposed to do it didn't even show up. That's some like D3 level shit. Ohio was a 1-2 win team most annually around this time. (and most of the time that 1 win would come against Kent State who was somehow even worse)

Yeah. The program is completely different now. They had NOBODY in the stands for games. I'm not sure what it is now, but it has to be more than they used to have.

The entire team would be planning what they were going to drink after the game, than worry about the game at all. They had one kid, an OL, who took it serious, as he was going to get drafted. The rest of the team were train wrecks.

I'm surprised more guys don't blow their knees out in this game. They don't really take good care of the field and if it gets cold it's an ice rink basically.

They did at least take the time to update the logo at midfield this year though. Maybe next year they'll finally give enough of a shit to update the end zones.
 
Last two EMU plays were STUPID with a 14 point lead and a FG in their back pocket.
Coaches who try too hard are dumb asses.
