Pre-week 1 upset alert

Maybe. I could see Tennessee getting a bunch of hype from last year and then sucking.
This could happen, but there has to be huge amount of suck to lose to UVA this season.

well damn, no one thinks we are going to get upset. Which means we are gonna get app stated. :L

I believe all the favorites deserve to be favorites, but some underdogs can be dangerous.

1. Boise State over Washington .... Boise State should never be taken for granted.

2. West Virginia over Penn State ... Penn State is the superior team, but West Virginia isn't horrible with nothing to lose.

3. Florida over Utah ... I still see the Gators as a Blue Blood team and Utah is kind of new to elite teams

4. Central Michigan over Michigan State ... There is a lot on the line for Sparty, if they are not prepared CMU will gladly give them whoopin'

5. South Carolina over North Carolina ... This could be a "little upset" - A great game to start the season.

6. Nebraska over Minnesota ... One day Nebraska will be a power house - their loyal fans deserve it.

Note: East Carolina over Michigan ... I don't see it happening, but I always worry. Still licking wounds from Appalachian State. I think Michigan will be prepared and deliver solid victory for their coach on house arrest.

As a Michigan fan, I wouldn’t be too worried. Take comfort in the 36.5 spread at home over a mediocre Group of 5 team.

Fresno State over Purdue
North Texas over Cal
San Jose State over Oregon State

$100 ML parlay pays ~$5,200

I could see Minnesota taking out Nebraska at home (upset? Maybe considered one?) I know Nebraska fans are hoping for something different.

How is a team favored by 7.5 points over another team (and beating them) even close to be considered an "upset"?

We're gonna need some of your patented mental gymnastics here.

Hence why I put "Maybe considered one?"

New coach with higher expectations at Nebraska, Minnesota team going through some off the field turmoil, Nebraska still being a blue blood, Minnesota

No, it's not a conventional upset. but I think probably a majority of (at least) nebraska fans expect to see something different in that game.

LOL

Minnesota is FAVORED by 7.5.
They could win by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, points and it wouldn't be "considered" an "upset".

It's Rhule's first season at Nebraska.
He's installed new systems on both Offense and Defense.
Nebraska is on the road.
There are only 5 seniors combined on Nebraska's starting offense and defense.
There are only 7 seniors combined on the offense and defense two-deep.
Rhule's first season at Temple was (2-10).
Rhule's first season at Baylor was (1-11)
Fleck is 5-1 against Nebraska since 2017.
Nebraska's lone win in that timeframe was 2018 (5 years ago)

The ONLY thing that would be "considered" an "upset" in that game is if Nebraska wins.

And 7.5 point favorite Minnesota pulls off the amazing 3 point upset (13-10) over Nebraska.

LOL.

I take your mom for granted.

And lol at seeing Florida as a blue blood and Utah as any kind of elite team.

You're dumb.

What an upset it was. Last second field goal.

well damn, no one thinks we are going to get upset. Which means we are gonna get app stated.
My aggie neighbor is normally spewing eternal optimism this time of year...and often further into the season. But I haven't seen him this subdued since the Sumlin days. (He was a big Sherman supporter so he was anti Sumlin from the beginning.)

Soooooo..............that should be a good sign for your aggies ford. I'm thinking this will be the aggie's best year in recent memory because this last time he was this subdued JFF went into Satan's den and won.
