PREDICT ‘24 NATTY

Doubtful. Been a second half team all season, and drops were a far bigger issue. UGA won with zero threat of throwing the ball pretty well the entire second half

Texas shot themselves square in the dick like a 100 times yesterday. Beck looked awful.

The expanded field and having less time to prepare matter more than people realize imo.

Competent coaching, effective game-planning, locker room culture/team morale, injuries, etc matter more in the current setup than they did in the previous setup.

And nerves, jitters, being rusty, etc will likely be far less of an issue too, if that means anything.

The Nat'l Title Game gonna end up being some cray-cray shit that nobody ever expected. ASU over ND, ND blowing out Clemson, Indiana beating Texas, Boise St-UOR Rematch w/ Boise St winning it all, SMU-Clemson Rematch w/ SMU winning it all, etc :pop2::couch2::rockon:

Who GAS, my team ain't in there

I want to know one thing about Oregon's offense and Penn State's defense. For a lot of the plays, it looked like the passes that Gabriel completed, the Penn State defenders were nowhere near to being close to the Duck receivers. Was this due to more of Oregon's great offensive play calling or was it just that Penn State's defensive players were just "lost"? The only other thing about the Ducks that makes me skeptic is giving up that many points to Penn State. Who will be the Georgia QB?

Anyway, I am going with Oregon 37 and Georgia 31 (subject to change)

I think the playoff is wide open. Uga and Ohio st have the most talent but they have weaknesses. Georgias receivers can’t seem to catch the ball, corners are struggling with the deep ball, and who knows what going to happen at qb. Ohio sts coach is a moron and their qb is average. Oregon’s offense looks unbelievable but their run defense looked pathetic last night. Texas’s red zone offense is brutal. Notre dame is fucked if you stop their running game/corners struggle against the deep ball. Franklin can’t win a game when he has to play a team with a pulse. It’s going to be fun.

I see several "adjustments" coming from this first year of the CFP. At the least some of them will be "discussed". And I've been told repeatedly that I'm in the great minority on some of these.

1. Automatic byes for the top four conference champions among the ACC, B1G, Big 12, G5 and SEC. (Should be the four top ranked teams IMO.)
2. Elimination of auto bids....or at least a set minimum number of auto bids for the B1G and SEC. Sankey's not going to tolerate only three SEC teams making it in when the B1G got four and the ACC got two. This one will be shit fit level. It will be ratioed similar to the CFP revenue distribution.
3. Give the committee more guidance/criteria regarding the incentives/disincentives to playing more difficult OOC games and CCG games.

There's my:2cents: worth.

And for extra credit, the brackets look like some of the unbalanced conference schedules to me. Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Ohio State, Az State and Clemson looks considerably more difficult to me than Georgia, Penn State, Notre Dame, Boise State, Indiana and SMU. Eliminating auto byes might correct this by inself.
