thats not rodgers
I don’t think that’s fair because he is definitely passionate about winning. I don’t even think his consistency is his fault as the Jets’ coaching and play calling was horrendous.

Rodgers isn’t in his prime but the mofo can ball.

Rodgers is a weird dude, he's more about himself than winning

and to he can ball? He'll have his moments, but he's not top 15 QB right now any longer, he wasn't very good his last year in GB when they went 9-8 and was pretty poor this year as well, he's 41, it's unlikely that'll flip

he's a serviceable starter at best at this point in his career.

Who are Jets going to replace him with? Russell Wilson??
Pffft! No! We've got plans...BIG plans...so big, we're not even going to talk about it with other fans.

You'll see...you'll ALL see!

Do you think that Rodgers's fingers weren't all over that?

His offenses play the game the way that he wants to play it. And it's a style of play that is old as shit.

There are not 15 QBs in the league I’d start over Rodgers.

Allen
Mahomes
Stroud
Jackson
Burrow
Golf
Daniels
Hurts

Everyone else I play Rodgers.

Glad you're not GM of my team

Rodgers is cooked

Rodgers was 25th in QBR last year, he was 26th in 2022

He's just not the guy he was few years ago, Brady was an anomaly to play so well beyond 40

I don’t like Rodgers but him at 85% is still a top 15 quarterback today.

It’s ridiculous to think you would play anyone other than Rodgers on rosters like the Falcons, Giants, Saints, Jags, Titans, Browns, Raiders, Panthers, Colts and I’d throw in the Cardinals, Patriots, Bucs, Chargers, Steelers, Bears and yes the Jets.

Rodgers is easily better than half the starters at QB in the league.

Your first group is fine.

The second group is silly.

agree to disagree I guess.

If the guy is "top 15", then he's likely towards the bottom of that range. But what's most complicating is that he's 41 years old, noticeably slow and would probably still take $15 million to sign. Whether Rodgers still puts butts in seats is debatable, but I don't think the guy is going to be selling that many jerseys.

Consider the organizations out there that would want such a QB. If you were a GM, you'd have to think you both had 1-2 years of runway before needing to get a better QB solution and/or was already on the cusp of a deep playoff run. That's a pretty short list, in the end:

Bills - NO
Dolphins - maybe?
Patriots - okay
Jets - XXXXXXXXXXX

Chiefs - NO
Chargers - No...*
Broncos - NO
Raiders - okay

Ravens - NO
Steelers - sure
Bengals - NO
Browns - NO

Texans - NO
Colts - okay
Jaguars - NO
Titans - NO*

Eagles - NO
Commanders - NO
Cowboys - probably not
Giants - NO

Rams - NO*
Seahawks - probably not
Cardinals - maybe*
49ers - sure

Lions - NO
Packers - NO
Bears - NO
Vikings - NO*

Buccaneers - No*
Falcons - Probably the best option
Saints - NO
Panthers - NO

That yields: Pats, Raiders, Steelers, 49ers, Colts and Falcons. Anywhere else, and it's an unnecessary gamble when there aren't enough pieces there, just like the Jets were, or he's consenting to be backup (*). At age 41, this is the best scenario all around for Rodgers. He'd have a chance to help a team for a playoff run and/or train a young QB, certainly something he's capable of. Then again, he's a dumbo head case, and will probably insist he can win three more Super Bowls with whatever team eventually signs him.

The jets have had a bottom 10 offense in the league every year since 2015.

Oh and Rodgers had better TD:INT numbers than Mahomes this year. For those scoring at home.

So you would rather have Caleb as your QB instead of Rodgers at this point in time right now? No way it would be much better for Caleb to learn on the sidelines at this point in his career.

Why would you want a locker room cancer on your team for 1-2 seasons max? His skills are declining and he’s never shown the slightest indication that he is willing or able to mentor a young QB. Hard pass.

Also, as I said before

"His offenses play the game the way that he wants to play it. And it's a style of play that is old as shit."

He doesn't want to play at a fast pace in the way that modern offenses do, that is a bigger problem than his lack of mobility. And he won't just play the way that your OC wants him to.

So you also have to ask yourself if you want to force a style on your offensive co-ordinator that doesn't work/win much anymore.
