Preseason Coaches Poll

Klein was a great OC hire. The offense should be better.
Our QB is glass, that's the issue. Tons of talent, can't stay on the field.

Will be quite impressive if they survive unscathed unless we are all way off on our preseason expectations
I think in the new world order of CFB, it will be almost impossible for a team to finish unscathed unless they just get the roll of the dice and miss every big name team in the conference that year (see Iowa in the B10 this year).

hey it's a built in excuse..Arnold is going to struggle and you can just point to your opponents record..

sadly, y'all gonna realize last season was set up to be a chance to be in the CFP... easiest schedule in the Big12 and even beat the best team in the Big12.. to only lose to underdog KU and okie light

i always have been a fan of Connor.. thing is that.. that OL killed him and the other starters.. I mean even King looks good now that he's at Georgia Tech.. Be interesting to see how well they can improve that OL.. Cause I feel Connor is a difference maker.. despite him not having any notable wins as of yet

OU under Stoops would most definitely be the most SEC like team of the two. Under Coach Vulnerable, not seeing it. OU started a slide when the BBQ Overcooker took over and he was smart enough to get out before he was completely exposed. Venerables just doesn't do anything well, and its showing. OU will have a near impossible time recruiting now that they are in the SEC.

This is the year. He has to put it all together, he was running for his life and learning the last couple of years. Now he's had time to learn the speed of the game, watch and learn from the sidelines, and the OL should be better. You are right that the OL has been killing our passing and running games, but the problem is now gone and Kansas' problem so things should be better up there.

Huh? BV has has 3 really good recruiting classes.

I think the implication is that OU will not be competing for conference titles, and thus will not be getting as many recruits.

Correct. And they won't get the SEC bump in recruiting that A&M did because they can't sell Texas recruits as being the only place to play in the best conference and stay in Texas/Oklahoma. Texas is going to continue to recruit just fine, but a season or two in the middle of the SEC will reduce the quality of OU recruits. And they were already crying about being poor and not being able to compete on the NIL stage, so that can't bail them out.

We shall see. I didn't see Texas, Missouri, or anyone else offering more than Oklahoma for Domick Williams. A posistion everybody needs.

Anyone can pass the plate around for one player. Do it year in and year out for a dozen kids and see how well it goes.

It doesn't mattter where you start, it's where you finish.
Holy hell, I missed this post. Looking at the replies since, I'm left to believe that this board has 1) gone soft and 2) matured in our old age. There was a time someone put one on a tee like that and everyone would be tripping over themselves to hammer it out of the park :L

So here, let me throw one down for old times.

I usually finish in your mom.
