I have hostas around the two trees up front and along the edge of the old patio out back. They do seem to get a bit bigger each year. Not spread but they get huge. So you either end up having to split them or....

I apply plant food and nutrients twice a year so I am adding to the problem. I had a nice little side hustle for a few years. I would split some hosta and sell to the neighbors.I have hostas around the two trees up front and along the edge of the old patio out back. They do seem to get a bit bigger each year.

I have never had much of an interest in putting in a garden. But I love spending time working on the landscape. Something about getting into the dirt and making something is very satisfyingI enjoy both. I put in my headphones and get my hands dirty.
This^^^^^^^^^It's not my thing but I can see how people could find it relaxing.. Using a Scag to mow the lawn is awesome though
I have planted pots with tomatoes and peppers in the past and have considered putting in a raised bed...I just haven't done it yet.I have never had much of an interest in putting in a garden. When our house is done I am going to get myself a wide-cut mower (33")
My parents always planted a pretty good sized garden, so maybe I was traumatized from that? When we got into trouble it always seemed part of our punishment was pulling weeds or wateringI have planted pots with tomatoes and peppers in the past and have considered putting in a raised bed...I just haven't done it yet.
Walk-behinds are where it's at IMO. Scags and similar mowers are just awesomeWhen I was younger I used a walk behind beautiful Scag! Thing was a beast! Had the attachment you could stand on but I would be too hunched over so I walked. Loved using it
So i guess I technically was a landscapper for a bit as well as I cleaned their place but also would cut their lawn and do all the yard work
