Prime Time To Auburn

I was laughing my ass off when I saw that video. I have no idea if he can coach, but I guarantee he'd be able to recruit at D-1.
This.

He just comes off as very relatable, an elite athlete, and great personality for these kids. I could certainly see a ton of D1 talent wanting to have that kind of atmosphere over the more rigid and professional one in Tuscaloosa.

SEC has some great coaches, with some great personalities. Harsin is a log, so Sanders would be a massive bump for entertainment value.

Just think, SEC already has the Pirate and Kiffin, if you add Deon, that would be entertain gold.

I think I'm headed towards a divorce and disowning my kids.

They all want Prime Time for Auburn's next coach. I feel like swallowing a bullet for surrounding myself with these idiots.
TBF, were you all that excited for Chizik?

I know there was a LARGE section of Auburn fans that hated him from the beginning, yet he (and Cam) brought Auburn a natty.

You never know...this could actually work with college athletes nowadays.

I think everyone was surprised with the Chizik hire and I would say most were in the group of give him a chance.

I don’t dislike Chizik now and would take him as a DC in heartbeat.

If I got to choose (which obviously I don’t) my picks would be Mark Stoops or Lane Kiffin.

I think Mark would be insane to take it because he could leverage it for a massive deal at KY and he is now their winningest coach. The AD even told Calamari to cut it out in regards to Stoops at KY. Put that in perspective.

Lane is a gambler so he might take it.

After that I think you have to take a risk and go with someone like Kendal Briles. But again no one ask me.

I like Mike Campbell but we’ve got to have someone that understands SEC recruiting and can make it happen. Even Matt Rhule seems like a risk at this point.

Luke Fickell would be interesting and worth the risk but it’s probably too great of a culture difference for him.

What do you think about Bill O'Brien? Surely he'll be an upgrade over Harsin.

Stop just stop. I'm getting more stupid than I can stand at home and can't even....

He is a step up from Harsin.

I did read an article suggesting that the top candidates are Prime Time (but supposed GA Tech is hopefuly to get him...hahah), Kiffin and Freeze.

Freeze is a hell of a coach, but holy shit does he come with baggage. Auburn with Freeze and Pearl would just be a dynamic duo in sports, and would probably be appreciated by the FBI as they won't have to travel all around the globe waiting on these guys to screw up (again).

You keep Bruce Pearl out of your mouth mofo that man is a Saint!

She graduated from Bama and could care less. She is just excited about Sanders and thinks he will be exciting.

She is very smart and has a masters degree so I’m lost for words to describe my disappointment in her.
If you can't have a good football program, at least have an entertaining football program

I should introduce you to my wife you two could go purse shopping together.

We do that on Tuesdays

Fact remains, you guys will probably never have another good football team. Best you can do is hire character actors who are zany and nutty, and get you some headlines.

Nah we will be back. We are going through a 10-year period like pretty much everyone else has when you reach a point where you had success the boosters feel they should run the program.

Auburn is weird we went from not winning one single SEC game to playing in a national championship game the next year. We are used to it by now.

She sounds like a wonderful woman....

Look at the people who have built solid programs. Now look at the skillsets they used to do that. Deon doesn't have a single one of those. Auburn already has tremendous dysfunction at the top ... adding Deon will settle that down, I am sure - eyeroll. All that said, I think it's a fantastic idea.

You would not believe the number of people that are jumping on board this. No one of note and it won't happen but I'm shocked at the number of my "friends" that are actually thinking this could be a good idea.

I guess the depression of the season is making people stupid.

From a recruiting perspective I could see why there would be interest in him. I think a lot of players would want to play for him.

The problem is, we don't know if he can actually coach. Can he pick the right assistants? Can he develop the players he gets? Can he make adjustments week to week, let alone in game?

It's a huge jump from HBCU level to P5 and very few can make it.

It's not like Auburn could bring him in as an assistant to take advantage of his recruiting either. He has too much personality and too big a name for that.

Here is what my idiot friends are saying:

* Everyone will want to play for him so he will kill it in recruiting
* He knows everyone so he can recruit the best coaches
* We have nothing to lose and we need to take a risk

They literally have added 1+1 and gotten 100

I just say "I can't even" and hang up.

LOL... sounds like a perfect match for the Barn. I mean, what could go wrong??
