Pujols never missed 20 games in any of his first 10 years.

Trout has missed more than that 5 of the last 6 seasons.
 
I think Trout will get to 600 but I don't think he comes that close to 700. He's 31 now and he needs 356, he'd need to average almost 36 home runs per year and that's assuming he'd stay healthy. The COVID shortened 2020 season and then missing virtually all of 2021 really hurt his chances at 700. The list of players with 300+ home runs from age 30 onwards isn't very large.

Did Pujols juice? Probably, I think many if not most players in the late 90s-early 2000s did, but It wasn't to the extent of Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, A-Rod, Palmiero etc. Those guys were all sticks, then beefed up to look like body builders. On his best day, Pujols still looked like the Pillsbury Dough Boy.

Everyone on that list juiced except for Pujols and he’s clean as a whistle.
