I just read an article about Michigan renovating and expanding their football locker room. It said over 14,000 square feet of the locker room will be renovated and they will be expanding it.

That seems like it'd be an enormous locker room. Is that the norm for a P5 D1 programs?

Should be noted, Michigan has two locker rooms -- 1 in the stadium and one attached to the practice facility. The one in the stadium is being left alone and is still pretty basic, it's the practice facility that's actually being boosted to keep up with the joneses. And I think that's mostly to impress recruits. My guess it that they're adding a bunch of amenities to the "facility" under the umbrella of locker room renovations.

Doesn't seem unusual. Clemson basically built an amusement park for their locker room

The stadium locker rooms really don't need to be fancy if they have a second location during the week. You are essentially there for a few hours on gameday

I think some teams have football facilities tied into or near enough their stadium where those are one in the same.

If that's the case so be it. Its about selling your program

Iowa's visitor's locker room will turn you gay or something.

Yeah -- I've been in the Big House locker room -- that definitely isn't 14,000 square feet.

Only because it’s in Iowa.

Nebraska has a new locker/recovery area with a large hot soak pool.

How is that different from the home team's locker room?
Apparently, a gay professor held a robot protest because Iowa's pink visitor's locker room is homophobic and intended to turn opposing team gay.

Make sure they include the required inclusive menstrual products in that locker room renovation. Title IX stuff.
